Su has practised Tai Chi since the early 1980s and has taught for over 25 years. She is one of Australia’s most accomplished Tai Chi practitioners, holding multiple national and state champion titles and winning gold medals at numerous international events. Su has represented Australia at two World Championships, placing 22nd in Macau (2003) and 15th/17th in Vietnam (2005).
A former President of Wushu Tai Chi Qi Gong Australia (WTQA), Su also holds Duan Wei grading with the Chinese Wushu Association. In 2011, she travelled to China to deepen her study of Wudang Tai Chi, training under 14th and 15th generation inheritors of the Wudang San Feng Pai lineage. Su has returned many times since to improve her knowledge and practice, training at Wudang martial arts schools and Five Immortals Daoist Temple.
Su teaches from her own school in the hills outside Melbourne, running weekly day and evening classes, workshops and retreats in regional Victoria and regular group tours to Wudang, China.
